The Home Depot Backyard prepares to host its longest-running community event filled with family-friendly activations and entertainment across two days.


ATLANTA, GA (October 12, 2023) – The Home Depot Backyard (HDBY), as part of Arts and Culture presented by The Home Depot Foundation, will host its sixth annual Fall-O-Ween Celebration on October 27 and 28. Fall-O-Ween will kick off on Friday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and continue Saturday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.  

This year’s edition of Fall-O-Ween will be a dinosaur themed occasion headlined by a movie on the lawn showing of Jurassic World on Friday (showing begins at8:00 p.m.). The event will also feature immersive photo experiences, including a movie-themed sport utility vehicle, roaming dinosaurs, and more. Friday will also include a “Spirits” Lounge (21+) featuring a host of beverage partners. Other activations highlighting day one includes giant pumpkins live painting, S.T.E.A.M. activities powered by Brown Toy Box, inflatables, and music by DJ OneNate.

Activations on Saturday will be highlighted by a costume contest hosted by DJ Michael Blair as well as Truist Vendor Village featuring local artisans and small businesses from the greater Atlanta community. Saturday will also feature sensory arts and crafts and game powered by Friendship Formulas, laser tag, an inflatable maze, and other event-themed activations like adopt a dinosaur and dino egg nest.

Additionally, on both Friday and Saturday, a team of expert Rangers from Jurassic World: The Exhibition, currently open at Pullman Yards, will join the occasion with some exciting live-action surprises and photo experiences.

There will be prizes for the best costume and other giveaways throughout as well as several food trucks on-site for both days of the event.

Fall-O-Ween at The Home Depot Backyard is a free event and open to the public, but registration is required for all attendees. Registration can be completed in advance HERE.  

Debuting in 2018, Fall-O-Ween is the longest-running community event hosted by The Home Depot Backyard and the largest annual signature event with more than 4,000 annually. Last year’s event experienced a record total with more than 7,000 in attendance.
