One of the most memorable moments of Atlanta United’s incredible first season was when the Five Stripes nation first set the all-time single-match attendance record for an MLS game. More than 70,000 fans packed into Mercedes-Benz Stadium as the upper deck was opened for the first time for a soccer match in Atlanta. Just weeks later ATL UTD fans would fill it again and crack their own record.

You showed up, and the club listened – and now Atlanta United is upping the ante. This year, ATLiens will have twice as many chances to pack Mercedes-Benz Stadium to the rafters in 2018. The club has announced that the stadium will be open in its expanded configuration for four Atlanta United matches this season.

List of Expanded Capacity Matches for 2018:

  • March 11th vs D.C. United
  • June 30th vs Orlando City
  • July 15th vs Seattle Sounders
  • September 22nd vs Real Salt Lake

Stay tuned for information on tickets and special multi-game rates that will be announced in the near future. Atlanta United changed the game in MLS attendance last year, and it’s time to take it to the next level.
