The Home Depot Backyard to Host Ninth Annual Fall-O-Ween: Fandom Fest on October 23

ATLANTA (October 19, 2025) – The Home Depot Backyard (HDBY), as part of Arts and Culture presented by The Home Depot Foundation, will host its ninth annual Fall-O-Ween celebration on October 23 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The free, family-friendly community event will invite guests to an evening of costumes, pop culture-inspired activities, entertainment and fall fun.

This year’s Fandom Fest theme celebrates fan-favorite worlds across anime, comics, gaming, sci-fi, fantasy and more. From 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., guests can enjoy immersive photo opportunities, cosplay character appearances from Let’s Go Cosplay, balloon art, face painting, a gaming trailer, a hayride featuring storytellers from Wren’s Nest, laser tag, a scavenger hunt, candy stations, hands-on activities from Teenz on Point, Children’s Museum of Atlanta, and Scraplanta for children and families. Guests are also encouraged to show off their creativity in the costume contest, with prizes including multi-day membership passes to MomoCon.

Arkeedah McCormick will emcee the evening, with DJ Muzisean providing music throughout the event. The Atlanta City FC Street Team will also be on site, alongside special appearances by Freddie Falcon and the Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders. The evening will conclude with a movie-on-the-lawn screening of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, beginning at 8:30 p.m.

Fall-O-Ween at The Home Depot Backyard is a free event and open to the public, but registration is required for all attendees. Registration can be completed in advance, HERE.  

Debuting in 2018, Fall-O-Ween is The Home Depot Backyard’s longest-running community event and one of its largest annual signature programs, welcoming more than 3,000 guests each year.
