The Home Depot Backyard will feature more than 200 free community programs across its three pillars of Health & Wellness, Arts & Culture, and Inspired Learning beginning in April, alongside a host of signature events.
   

ATLANTA(March 17, 2026) – The Home Depot Backyard (HDBY) today announced its 2026 community programming schedule and signature event lineup, continuing its commitment to delivering engaging, free programming for the Atlanta community. The 2026 season will feature more than 200 programs across its three core pillars — Health & Wellness, Arts & Culture, and Inspired Learning — with weekly offerings beginning on April 13 and continuing through October from 6:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The 2026 programming and signature event season will be guided by the theme “Back to the Yard”(stylized Back2TheYard), a celebration of community connection,movement, and Atlanta nostalgia. Throughout the season, the Backyard willinvite guests to rediscover the space through uniquely curated experiences thatencourage participants to stay active while honoring the music, culture, andcommunity spirit that define Atlanta. From nostalgic-themed fitness classes andthrowback music moments to creative workshops and cultural programming, theBack2TheYard theme reinforces the Backyard’s mission to be a welcominggathering place for all.

Commonly known as Atlanta's Backyard, the HDBY weekly schedule will again be anchored by a robust lineup of Health & Wellness programming, featuring a diverse matrix of returning instructors and community partners offering fitness classes every Monday and Tuesday evening as well as select Wednesdays. Participants can expect a dynamic mix of cardio, strength, dance, yoga, and mindfulness experiences designed to serve a wide range of fitness levels and interests.

Complementing these offerings,the Arts & Culture and Inspired Learning pillars will feature interactive workshops, creative classes, cultural programming, and educational opportunities throughout the season led by local organizations, artists, and instructors. These programs will provide attendees with hands-on opportunities to explore creativity, learn new skills, and celebrate the vibrant cultural landscape of Atlanta.

The weekly programming schedule will also include a series of pop-up experiences hosted at partner locations throughout Atlanta from mid-May through July, as The Home Depot Backyardprepares to stage activations in advance of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

In addition to weekly programming, The Home Depot Backyard will host a variety of signature community events throughout the year designed to bring the city together for unique seasonal experiences. Highlighted events for the 2026 season include:

  • Night Market #1 – April 16, 2026
  • Night Market #2 – May 14, 2026
  • Summer Movie Experiences (2) – August &     September 2026
  • Fall-O-Ween – October 2026
  • Night Market #3 – November 12, 2026

The popular Night Marketseries will return with vibrant evenings featuring local food vendors,artisans, music, and community activations. The Summer Movie Experienceswill transform The Home Depot Backyard into an outdoor cinema during latesummer evenings, while Fall-O-Ween will offer a festive autumncelebration for families and community members in October.

Since launching its weeklycommunity programming in 2022, The Home Depot Backyard has hosted hundreds ofprograms and welcomed thousands of participants to its free experiences,reinforcing its role as one of Atlanta’s most dynamic gathering spaces forhealth, culture, and community engagement.
